I wore my glasses to work the other day.

Anyhow, everyone said nice things like
wow. cool glasses.
and
oh. Since when do you wear glasses?
I don't really. Mostly because I think they are overly large for my face.
After being asked the question
"Why don't you wear your glasses more often?" for the fifteenth time, I snapped.
"Because I can actually see people clearly, and you know what? They are gross. They have hairs coming out of weird places and scabs and spots and everything is magnified to a kind of surreal clarity which would normally be good, but right now? Bad. Really bad."
After I said it, I realized that all the other answers-they're too big, they look funny-were all blatant lies. I just don't like the look of humans.
My delightful coworkers response?
"Jenn, you are too cute."
