American Splendor looks like a fantastic movie. I suppose I will have to trudge to the city once more to see it.
Went in yesterday and had lunch with the folks. Tableful of sly insults and reminders always makes for a relaxing atmosphere. I think my dad's jealous that my mom has a new man. She does get a bit of that teenage girl mentality, so right now it's just annoying. I aksed her what she was going to do when they broke up. She asked me why that would necessarily happen.
Because everyone breaks up, eventually. Right?
Who is she to talk? 2 disastrous marriages(to the same guy) and several failed relationships in the meantime.
Introduced my mom to Sephora. It was love at first sight.
Also caught The Magdalene Sisters yesterday. Depressing, harsh, okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it.
Grandaddy is playing with Super Furry Animals in October. Even if I have to go alone, I don't think I can pass it up. Perhaps I can connive girl I work with to be new best friend.
