2005-04-07 - 3:37 p.m. Another birthday come and gone; this one to the wilds of Vermont to check out the Hope Cemetery in Barre. I don't know why. It just seemed like a good idea. And it was. Life-sized cars and soccer balls and beds and a wife holding her dead (dying?) husband. Angels and statues and this pure white stone stretched for miles, unbroken bright with the 6 inches of snow. It ranked quite high on the happiest times list. The kitty (Stella) is driving me out of my mind. Apparently, cats go through this little old thing called heat. And they meow like the world is trying to burst out of their mouth; they rub their bottoms on everything and ferret across the floor, waiting for a mankitty. She shall soon be, you know, fixed. Lastly, well, soon I'll have an ocean view every goddamn morning. A two bedroom in Long Beach--a view in the living room that god would give his left hand for. (Do entities have digits?) One block away from the sand, looking down from the fifth floor as the waves crash. Co-habitition--fun or frightening? We'll see. I hope the cats get along. (His is a lumbering giant, mine is a petite sloth.) Backlog of concerts! I haven't made it to any in a month. Joseph Arthur, perhaps? ~j
