2005-05-02 - 9:56 a.m. The lovely British-accented lady at the library handed me my laminated card and a pen at exactly 4:45 pm yesterday. She pointed at the signature line. "Sign your name and that's it." M. waited for his as I performed a Supermarket Sweep style book search. I had an overflowing pile of Murakamis, Yoshimotos and a Hempel as they announced final check-out. M. raised his eyebrows at the selection. "Only into Japanese authors now?" I held up the Hempel. "Ah." I love living with him. He walks me to the train station in the morning and he is pre-coffee giddy. We talk about everything and watch the waves do their thing and pick houses we like. More later.
